Faculty Success Manager (FSM) Job Description:
The Faculty Success Manager (FSM) is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships within faculty partners through collaboration and support of innovative curriculum development. FSMs help troubleshoot usage of Labflow, a lab-focused learning platform, and coach faculty towards best practices to ensure students have a great learning experience. FSMs manage a pipeline of renewal business supporting overall company health. The FSM works closely with our faculty alongside the sales and product team as the “voice of instructors” - guiding future product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Nurture our Faculty Relationships:
Build relationships with faculty partners through collaboration around curriculum design, troubleshooting, and other support while maintaining a student-focused attitude.
Serving as a strategic partner, offering expert advice and recommendations that are specifically tailored to advance the faculty’s unique pedagogical goals for their course.
Tailor learning software content to align with the faculty's educational objectives.
Provide consistent support in course management and timely content adjustments.
Assists faculty with course management and adjustments to course content each term.
Train faculty, teaching assistants and offer continual support each term.
Faculty Retention:
Grow and maintain positive faculty relationships through meetings, calls, consistent follow-up and proactive outreach.
Work with faculty to ensure they are effectively leveraging new features of Labflow and supporting faculty in new challenges that may arise in their department.
Spearhead platform renewal efforts and recognize and report renewal business that may be at risk.
Maintain a revenue base by managing account retention and renewal processes.
Business Development Support:
Aide in expanding the use of Catalyst Education’s platform to additional courses at a given university.
Aide in upsell and expansion opportunities through consultative conversations about instructor needs.
Represent Catalyst as a subject matter expert in online demos, meetings, and occasional travel to university campuses or conferences.
Shape our Content & Product:
Share internally innovative applications of Labflow to inform best practices to respond to common challenges across universities
Partner with the Product Team in content creation and feature enhancement by being the “voice of the instructor” in internal conversations.
Authors new question content, reviews and critiques other content author’s or media scriptwriter’s work. Occasionally assists more deeply in content development as needed.
Be a faculty advocate while capturing faculty feedback and reporting requests to Product Management and Development.
Report internally on trends in goals or challenges from partner schools.
Teamwork & Outreach:
Partner with sales, ensuring faculty adoption and growth.
Develop and share best practices with internal and external team members to continually improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of our processes.

Education Requirements
PhD or Master’s degree in a science discipline, such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or STEM education is preferred. Bonus points for multiple areas of expertise.
Specific Skills, Experience, and/or Credentials
Required
Computer/tech savvy
Excellent communication skills over email, phone, and in-person
Skilled using spreadsheets, including the use of formulas
Experience in educational content creation
Some college-level teaching experience: either as tutor, TA, instructor, or lab coordinator
Experience in utilizing a consultative approach to communicate complex information in a clear, concise manner to various stakeholders.
Familiarity with learning management systems
Desired
1 year of sales or support experience
1 year of college-level teaching experience as instructor, lab coordinator or lab TA
Experience with CRM and
Experience in instructional design
Experience in a startup environment
Knowledge of text and formula markup languages such as LaTEX and HTML
Familiarity in using AI tools
Annual Base Compensation: $70,000 – $75,000 based upon experience
