About Catalyst Education

Catalyst Education builds innovative, engaging, and scalable learning tools that help students persist in their academic journeys. We’re now expanding beyond STEM into high-impact general education courses, bringing our Spark platform to disciplines like psychology, sociology, and college success.

About the Role

We’re seeking a seasoned, mission-driven sales professional to lead new growth in our emerging Non-STEM Spark vertical. This person will partner closely with Market Development and report directly to the Director of Revenue, with a focus on high-velocity selling to college faculty, departments, and committees.

This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone who has navigated complex adoptionsbuilt relationships at the department level, and knows how to win committee-based decisions. Your deep understanding of the higher education ecosystem and track record of strategic success will be critical to launching Spark into new disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle sales for Spark in non-STEM disciplines (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, College Success).

  • Develop, manage, and expand a robust pipeline of qualified leads.

  • Work in close partnership with Market Development Reps to prioritize leads, plan campus visits, and execute outreach campaigns.

  • Understand and articulate Spark’s unique value prop: AI-assisted grading, flexible grading models, token economy, and LMS compliance.

  • Provide strategic insight into product-market fit, messaging, and customer needs.

  • Maintain high CRM hygiene and contribute to accurate forecasting.

About You

  • 3+ years of successful sales experience in higher education, edtech, or digital courseware.

  • Strong track record of closing large, committee-based or multi-stakeholder adoptions.

  • Known for high EQ, strategic thinking, and a consultative, relationship-first approach.

  • Comfortable owning a number—and consistently beating it.

  • Deep knowledge of the sales process from prospecting through procurement.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; you know how to plan and execute a campus visit like a pro.

  • Familiar with Salesforce or similar CRM and capable of managing a clean, reliable pipeline.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience selling to psychology, sociology, or general education instructors.

  • Experience in a high growth start up culture.

  • Comfort demoing edtech products and tailoring value stories to faculty needs.

  • Passion for student success and educational access.

  • Former teaching experience at any level.

Why Join Us?

  • Join a high-growth company on a mission to improve higher education outcomes.

  • Sell a product you can believe in, one that makes a measurable impact on student engagement and instructor efficiency.

  • Shape the go-to-market strategy for a new product line in an untapped market.

  • Competitive salary + commission, benefits, and flexible work environment.
